Sorry no pics. Can you post some? Seems like NPD or someone may have pics in their catalog.

Not sure if this will even help but I already have a pic of it so I'll just throw it out there... Do you just want one of the headlights mounted with no grill? I might be able to grab mine and put them in real quick so you have a guide.

You'd probably have a lot better luck asking over on camaros.net. There's a TON of 1st gen guys over there doing restorations.

thank you hrod that helped alot. i am doing it right its just not lining up right and the big bracket wont fit into the fender.

but i noticed your housing brackets dont have a tab on the bottom?

and i also posted this question on camaros.net and got nothing. i figured i would have more luck there too but i think this site gets more traffic.

hrod if you have a picture from the front that would be cool but i dont want you to take your stuff apart just so i can peek at it.

i think either they are diff for left and right or mine were tweaked. i thought they looked a little diff so i pulled them off and switched sides. the driver dropped right into place . and the pass after some tweeking (maybe because of the new fender now lines up.

It all depends if those are original pieces or aftermarket. Many aftermarket pieces require a certain amount of tweaking to get them to work. It doesn't matter which company you get your parts from either.

Here's a picture of my '68, no idea what the history is--assume the car has had frontend damage a couple of times and poorly repaired.

Glad my pic helped a little bit, I can snap you one another on Friday if you want me to just tell me what exactly you want and it's no big deal.

To me though I'd say it's all via the repro parts. I'm guessing your buckets/radiator support/fenders are all reproduction? They won't line up perfect for sure, if you can force them in then consider it done and move on to the next part.

As for my headlight buckets I'm not sure... Maybe yours are setup for both RS and regular grilles? Mine I think is for a regular grill but my car is a RS that had at least a new grille put on so I'm not sure what if any of it is the original parts to the car.

I wish my '69 had a LS1.... Looks like you've got a nice setup.

thank you rodder that picture is EXACTLY what i need to see,

and hrod the only parts that are aftermarket are the pass outer fender and the header panel. thats why i was kinda confused. but i must assume that the guy who got these parts for the car, maybe there was some front end damage because the fenders i got with the car, i know are not original to this car (my car was light blue underneath some dark blue and the fenders were both yellow ontop of some green ontop of who knows what.

if it had diff fenders from a diff car then maybe these brackets were tweaked already. but know they seem to fit fairly well.

thanks all.

Glad it helped. Also is it an optical illusion, or do the top ears on your buckets point towards the rear instead of pointing to the front like mine?

Could those be RS fenders? I'm not sure what the factory RS fenders look like...

Measure it with calipers, mark it with a scribe, cut it with a torch, beat it to fit, and paint it to match.

i didnt order a rs fender when i bought the new one so i would have to say no. its the same as the other side. but the ears do bend back a tad (maybe a quarter inch or less), might be from me beating the crap out of it. with a hammer

now that i looked at the picture agsin , i think i sea what your talking about. on the driver side picture it does look like the bracket goes the other way (kind of an mc esher staircase thing).

Good luck finishing your car. Have you decided on a color yet? I'm turning into an expert given how many color options I've looked at for my '67

i already painted the body, i made a (i think) pretty cool blue. im not a pro at all, this is only my second paint job. and im doing it at home in my garage, so its not perfect and im learning as i go, but i dont htink it looks too bad. what do you think?

there is some orange peel, but that will buff out. i was kinmda nervous abou tgetty a lot of runs, so some spots have the orange peel but not too many.

Holy hell... Great minds think alike. Looks good... real good, that's cool you did it yourself. You could say that my '69 is basically the exact same color . No LS1 for me though

only thing diff is im doing the bumble bee stripe on the nose (but also in white). your car doesn't have black and white houndstooth interior, does it?

and i cant decide if im going to use my rally wheels or i als ohave some 15x10 and 15x8 cragers. i was thinking of keeping the outside old school and only under the hood hi-tech.
