Default Tuning after header installation???

Ive never had a car tuned before so for me this isnt a dumb question..

I asked for a quote on getting the car tuned after header installation.. and was told dyno tune for 400..

my question is does the car have to be on the dyno to tune it for just the a/f ratio change or am I just retarted I remember reading somewhere that you shouldnt waste your money on o2 sims case you can just have em tuned out after your installation for like 75 but now that im typing this i see that it may just be 75 to delete the o2s hmmmm

Get a Frost tune. (mail order tune) from Frost on here 125-150 bucks. Your all set. He can delete your codes and set your tune according to your mods or current set up.

yes but his turn around time is very FAST. Another option is someone who can tune - say has HP tuners or something in that ball park.

Damn near anyone in Mooresville... Theres a guy in Asheville (Redline Performance) who can tune the **** out of anything, but its a little pricey..To do mine it would be 400 for dyno time, 50 to register on his HP Tuner, and 50 to tune for speed density..

How about Alvin at PCMforLess in Mooresville.

If you are going to do mail order I HIGHLY recommend Steve. (Frost)

I just got my frost tuned PCM in the mail. My car is also my daily driver so I didn't have the option to take mine out and send it to him. He sells spare PCM's that he has in stock for $105. So I had him tune one of those and ship it to me for a grand total of around $250. I ordered it on Monday and it was on my doorstep Wednesday. Still have yet to install it though.

damn, makes me wish I still lived in Mooresville and not the buttcrack of Missouri now. I've got to get mine tuned but may end up sending my PCM to frost if he's available to do it.
