tuning with JET D.S.T.
hello guys need some pointers on tuning- i have a fresh build that is bout to be fired. i will need a basic tune first to get it fired i believe. i will be using JET's software, not a handheld. i am new to this and know just enough to really screw something up, which is what i dont wanna do obviously. does anyone here know group or page anything based on this software? i havent seen anything on this board covering it. the car is a 2000 vette with a mild lq9 centrifugal s/c'd motor automatic. any help is greatly appreciated.

JET DST started out as Tuner Cat OBD2. It was sold to JET by TC's developer hence the name change. I use TC OBD2 almost on a daily basis for some applications. It is probably not the best solution for your build because of it's lack of a data logging scanner and no custom operating systems to enable 2 or 3 bar map sensor use, something you should be considering using with FI. Since I also have HP Tuners, I can use HPT scanner with TC OBD2.

I have a Bluetooth interface on the obd2 port and Droid tablet using the torque app. there is several PID's I can log, but I am unsure of what is most crucial and what I don't need to worry bout.

And Jet charges the same as Hp Tuners, but you don't get a scanner with Jet. And as mentioned, there are no custom operating system upgrades available with Jet.
I also have Tuner Cats for the 1996-97 LT1 & 1996-2000 Vortec trucks. The Hp Tuners software is light years ahead of Tuner Cats. And I use the Hp Tuners scanner on these vehicles, but no copy & paste from the scanner to the Tuner Cats editor.
And the support forum (Monodax) has been down for over 2 years.

You're asking about a Gen I engine. This is an LS forum.

There is little material out there for DST.
my advice: Contact one of the LT1 tuners like Moe or Solomon directly and get their guidance. You May have to pay a few bucks for a base tune but it will get you up and running.
PS- I would leverage the Lt1 section of this board for better results. Maybe start your own thread?

If you're permitted to (new members have to wait a bit...) PM AgFormula02 and see if he might know. Otherwise he might just see this and answer here.
