Default 2002 430LSX vac level?

I was wondering at idle what the proper vac level is? My gauge reads 5 and low at idle.

Thoughts?

430LSX race motor

With a blower cam just no post yet

What cam is in it? 5" hg is pretty damn sorry. But if it's a race motor... It'll probably scream up top.

How does it drive?

Current cam is:

Duartion @.050 238/247 .637/.629 Lobe SEP 112 Degree +4 ADV)

im seeing 20" at idle

it drives bumpy but needs a retune.

the blower isn't on yet and the can is a blower cam. Is that the normal amount of vac at idle? Gauge says low vac.

20" at idle seems about right with that size cam to me. But i am no expert, you have more vacuum than me and my cam is a 238 and 625 lift on both sides iirc

Those are some odd looking 430" blower cam specs. What head, intake and blower?

Blower is an F1R cog drive. Heads are AFR 225 cathedral port, intake is a FaST 102

You have a big engine with smallish heads, a long runner intake and an aggressive blower. If I have spec'd that camshaft, it would look more like 242/258 on 116. That cam you have there will likely be RPM limited, and leave power on the table.

I'd move over to an LS7 head on a 430.

And that cam looks like a good NA cam for a streetable 402.
