Default switching a 98 pcm with 99&up??

What are the differences in the 98 and 99&up PCM's? Could i switch out my 98 with a 99&up and if so what would be needed for the change?

were you thinking of speartech?

i've contacted them about it in the past, but it wasn't worth it, they helped me with the info gathered above.
