Default Stoich question...my 98 has 14.62857, every other year I've seen has 14.737?

Why is there a difference in the Stoich AFR in 98s compared to other years? Mine has 14.62857, and every other year I have seen has 14.737. Does this make any kind of difference? Does anybody have an idea why GM did it? Would it hurt to set mine the same as the rest of them?

Ok...so...why are they different? Any experts out there that can shed some light on this?

It's only a 0.7% difference; I reckon they just either
caught an "oops" or decided to shave on it for the
EPA. Who knows?

my 00 was 14.737
my 02 now is: 14.62857

I'm guessing it has to do w/the region the car's sold in maybe? Like depending on if they use reformulated gas?

I have tuned well over 100 LT and LS-1 and the LS-1 values are very inconsistent. I have seen STOCK tunes that were very aggressive from the factory and others that were very mild, Why ?? Mass Producibility ?? Who Knows...

Has anybody noticed if the O2 High and Low values are different on the ones with a different Stoich value?

My '03 truck PCM has 14.684 for stoich.

Has anybody noticed if the O2 High and Low values are different on the ones with a different Stoich value?
Edit does not have these... might not be much familiarity with them yet.

would someone here tell me how to make the car run a little CLOSED LOOP leaner by changing this table. I don't want to guess it (amount and direction).

say its setup for like 14.6:1 and i want it to run 14.8 (2% leaner).

Just an educated direction on how to tweak this parameter would be cool.
