Good stuff John,

I just checked your website but could not find any pricing for these, are they $125 like the LS1 / LT1?

Hey John, this is Jeff/PSI/guy with LS1 into a 97 SS you just did a harness for. Everything worked A1, excep one crazy thing Ive been trying to trakc down. Randomly on starting the car it will light the low oil level light, on for 2 starts, off for 3 starts on for 1 etc, its seemingly random. The level sensr is just completing the ground its a brand new sensor and the harness is brnad new, checked and its plugged in snug - I just dont get it Any ideas?

back to original question What would you be able to do for me if I was looking to get benchtop harnesses for 94-9 LT, 96-97 LT, 97-98 LS, and 99-up LS? Email me at LTOne4Fun@aol.com when you get a chance

Hi Jeff,

Not sure why the low oil level light comes on intermittently. Sounds likw a bad connection somewhere, but who knows.

I'll email you on the benchtop harnesses.

From what I can see, you simply provide the 12V source to the alligator clips and hook up your programming software of choice to the OBDII port. This allows you to program your ECM prior to having the donor car all wired up. Is this true John? I just flashed a program onto my buddy's '74 Camaro with an LS6, this would have been helpfull since I had to wait for him to wire up the car and ECM to flash it.

Yes, that's how it works. You provide the 12 volts (battery or power supply) and the programming software, this harness then takes the place of the vehicle.

Many of the tuner shops have our complete set of programming harnesses, depending on what engines they work with.

We just recently added the Vortec truck series: 4.3, 5.0, 5.7, 7.4; and the GM V6 series: 3100, 3400, 3800; and now the LS2.

These harnesses make it easy for the mail order guys to not have to keep using a car to hook up the customers PCM to communicate with, and there have been some issues of serial data interference with all of the vehicle modules "talking" to each other on some late model vehicles.

The benchtop harness isolates the PCM from the rest of the vehicle modules so no interference can mess up your programming.
