LS1M Anyone using it?
I just saw this on Ebay and have never seen/heard of it before.

It is a Palm pilot platform tuner. It seems all well and good, but is it worth it? cheaper than a Power Programmer.

Looks like it only scans, does not modify the
tune. More comparable to ATAP (which I think
might also run on Palm type rigs, it's the tune
file transfers that seem to need the CPU speed
for sustained high data rate with the tuning
tools).

I have been using LS1M for over 3 years now and I ahve been very happy with the product. It is only a scanner though and not a tuner in any way!
I have used it on my SS Camaro, SS Silverado, Avalance, wife's SS Camaro and GTP Grand Prix with good results during scanning/ reading trouble codes.
I like to keep it in my glove box so I am ready to help out fellow GM automobile owners with problems with their car. Back when I bought it I only paid $100 for it and got a $20 PALM from eBay so the investment was minimal, but I see the price has gone way up now so I would pass and put your money toward a tuner software IMO.
I still use the LS1M and Palm for quick scans and code reading but use EFILive Flashscan for my tuning software.

I use it because, unlike some other scanners, this one actually shows you knock retard information.
I also use it at the track, I will record my runs and go home and pull it down into a spread sheet. It's pretty cool because I can tell Excel to make graphs showing where the KR hits during my runs (usually top of 2nd gear near the end of the track). I can graph in the engine temps or whatever else against that data. Pretty nice.
I have ordered a new higher-end OBD scanner, if the new one does at least the same stuff (KR and other stuff) I will be selling my LS1M (with the palm) pretty cheaply (probably on Ebay). PM me if interested, or keep an eye on the for sale section here.
