WB keeps overheating?!?!
I have the damn thing at the y in the ypipe right now and I still get over heating codes, code 8. I am only h/c so I dont see why the EGT is getting high enough to keep doing this to the WB. Has anyone had this issue before?

when's it do it? how far into driving? try setting the car a little richer to see if it goes away (dump extra fuel to cool the exhaust off)... sensor's definetly ok right? (how old?)

sensor is about 3-4 weeks old. I am actually running a little rich, about 14.0 part throttle. This happened this morning, 9:30 I did a cold start log for 8 min, 10:00 I did a warm log for about 3 min, 10:20 I left for class and went through the parking deck, drove the car about 7 miles, about 10-12 minutes and my rpms in the parking deck were about 2-3500 (sounds cool lol) and I was in there for about 3-4 min driving to the damn top.

For what it's worth I have never seen a heat code where
mine is, well back in the I-pipe. At high exhaust flows you
have to expect the heat will carry well back into the pipe,
the leaner you go the worse it is to begin with and the more
power you make, too. Probably falls in the category of "good
problem to have", but I'd see about adding a bung as far
back as the sensor cable will conveniently reach.

I don't want to jump the gun on Jimmy but I followed his lead by putting mine in the I pipe too. Mine is before my electric cutout. I don't have any real evidence but on multiple boards I have heard of people having problems with overheating issues with WB02 sensors in the collectors or thereabouts. Now I guess a lot of people just put the wideband in the collector, tune and put the NB02 back in. Others still probably have had no problems there at all. I have no cats or air and just wanted it in full time.

thing is i hate having it that far back, the response time in low rpm for it to adjust to the AFR is too long for me, i get off teh gas then back on then see it go rich when it really goes rich when i am off the gas, i dont want to have it so far back for tuning that the readings are time delayed. when i say it over heats, the led flashes at me and it reads constant 11.0:1, it has done this 3 times to me, with so many people not having issues i wonder ifits my sensor?
