Default How much timing on 91 octane 11:1 and stock cats?

Hi, I've got a 382 with around 11:1 CR, AFR heads, and a 230 cam. I'm running TTS headers with the stock cats, and Z06 mufflers. I'm also on crappy CA 91 octane gas. I'm wondering what kind of total timing you guys are able to get away with in similar combos on 91 octane.

Thanks,
Terry

w/that much compression and only 91 octane... 26 would prolly be the high end... though alot depends on weather... I run 11.3:1 compression and 93 octane with 28* of timing... and I'll ping when it gets into the high 90s

24 would probably be a safe timing, with 26 max

I'd try 23-24 around peak torque and 25-26 on the top and bottom and see how it worked.

I don't know. AFR's are supposed to have great swirl, and if you're also running a tight squish, then I'd think not too much advance there.
I do know one thing for sure.
The internet would be the last place I'd go to find out what the motor wanted.

I wish Morgan was around, he's fix this for me quickly.

The map I have in there is all fubared (previous owner set it up). It has around 28 degrees up top, but pings like crazy. I think I'll track down a stock Z06 map and then back the total timing down to 25 degrees after peak torque and see how it does.
