Angry my SS wony idle...

i have a 99 camaro SS with 5.3 heads,536 lift cam with mac headers,and now the car will not idle by itseld and it keeps fouling plugs! whats wrong,can the o2's cause this?

What are all the mod specs? Auto or M6, Any tuning done?

unplug a front O2 sensor and open up the throttle blade alot. Your problem will be solved.

It's probably running too rich and needs a little more air and timing to run/idle.

well it has 5.3 heads,milled .30,5 angle valve job, full ported and polished,2.02 valves,and rev double valve springs, and a 536 lift comp cam,mac mid lengths,ported throttle body, with no pcm tuning..

why does the sensor have to be unplugged,i think it may be bad anyways,but ill try it,,thanks

M6 with a centerforce dual friction clutch, the cam is a 536 lift, 226/236 dur 110 lobe sep

your computer is probably going crazy right now because it doesn't know how much fuel to give it so it's probably dumping the fuel in...

Sounds to me that your heads are leaking oil into the combustion chambers
and fouling the plugs thru the rocker arm bosses. Did you install them or have
done by an installer.
Also a 110 LSA isn't the easiest to tune. The specs are close to the GM ASA
cam, which needs some TLC.

Because your sensors will look alot like your plugs. With carbon buildup they will be reading wrong and cause fueling errors. This will exaggerate the problem. One of your problems is the commanded idle is stock. Did you open up the throttle blade yet? That alone will make a huge difference...

well when i first put the cam in the car idled fime for about a week and the it started doing that and my oil smell like gas bad,im sure my luck my block is cracked

you'll most likely need a tune for the car to idle good
