AC messin up tune?
Got my 01 TA dyno tuned yesterday for the tr230 cam I put into it. Runs great now but when the ac is on the cars idle will drop down to about 200 then spike to 1000 and then die. Its kind of like when it was untuned when the PCM searches for an idle and cant really find one. Yes I have all the supporting mods. Anyone have the same problem with theres? Any advice to give my tuner using EFI live?

yeah..its cause you got a dyno tune and not a full tune....
there are many parameters that you cant get correct for street driving unless yo drive it and tune it on the street...
several tables that control how much air the car needs at idle....
several tables for spark for various reasons....
and even tables that tell the car to do certain things when the AC is on or off...
most likely you giy ripped off by paying a bunch of money to a shop that does a few pulls to get WOT A/F correct on the dyno(which will be lean when you put it on the street..cant simulate real world driving airflow) and they did nothing for part throttle or idle A/F most likely...and this causes issues with or without AC....

there are tables to compensate for airflow when AC is on. They are torque based for both torque loss of the AC compressor and the torque loss when the AC clutch engages. Also Ramp In and Out Rates for AC Airflow. Probably need to adjust these also.
