Default Help. Check engine light on MAF voltage low

Ok guys, I have a problem. I recently purchased a 2000 Pontiac Trans am with the LS1 engine. I am new to these cars. I recently had the check engine light come on. I ran the code and it came back as MAF voltage low. I bought a used MAF sensor off ebay thinking that the MAF was bad. I installed the new MAF sensor reset the computer, and the code came back on a few seconds later. I then called my buddy who drives a 99 camaro ls1 and tried his MAF on my car, reset the computer, and the code came on. I used my old MAF sensor on his car, and his car did not throw any codes. I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I checked the wiring to the MAF and it looks fine. What should I do next? Thanks in advance

Engine sensor fuse? MAF needs 12V power to work.

ok thanks. I just checked the fuses inside the engine compartment. I noticed that the engine senor fuse was blown. I replaced it with a "20" fuse. As soon as I started the engine, the fuse popped. I tried another fuse, and the same thing happened. What can be causing the problem? WHere can I start to look? Thanks again

Does the car have headers? If so, check the O2 sensor wires.

Here's a list of everything that uses the "ENG SEN" fuse:

- Mass Air Flow
- Heated Oxygen Sensor
- Skip Shift Solenoid
- Reverse Lockout Solenoid
- Brake Switch

A wire from one of those components has to be shorting out somewhere.

And here's a link for all those ckts Shallowbay mentioned.

http://www.ls2.com/boggs/torques/00pinpcm.htm

Get your Multimeter out and disconnect the battery and then the main pcm connectors and go from the pcm to those ckts listed and don't be afraid to pull, twist, and gnaw on those wires with your favorite beaver.
