Default HUD In a trans am?

Is this possible through any less complicated means? http://hud.cz28.com/

I was thinking how bad *** it would be to have the HUD in my trans am, then I got to thinking what if it matched the colors of the dash and stuff (red) that would be awesome.

So i guess my question would be, can i get one out of a corvette and just do some dremmel work and etc. and end up having HUD?

Even with his screen placed on the windshield the numbers are very blurry and have artifacts.

Id rather have a C5 with a HUD built in.

you would have to cut the cowl,I had a HUD module from a bonneveille, and tried to put it in my TA, you would have to cut/weld the dash to get the room to fit (the module I tried was 3+ inches tall.

Given there may be space issues, still doesnt answer all questions.
Lets say thers TONS Of room.

Is the electronics all compatible?

That's what I've been trying to find out. For my V6 it looks pretty straightforward (same PCM). A big concern right now is the space issue. I'd much rather install a Corvette unit but I'm not sure about the VSS signal or any specifics for the Vette unit. Right now I'm planning to use a 97-05 Grand Prix HUD and dimmer switch.

Here's my thread on the V6 board where people again insisted "don't bother even trying" and "use the search button" People change out F-body wheels for other GM wheels, why not other GM electronics?

Useful info here:

My biggest concern again is the A5 connector on the W-body HUD unit. What is that for??? Labeled "[Something] SERIAL DATA ----- COMPUTER DATALINES SYSTEM"... If anybody has Mitchell or something and feels like checking, that'd rock.

A 3800 doesn't use the same pcm as our cars but it might work. I would get a corvette unit to be safe.

It just looks like a wiring job. I have put DICs in cars that don't come with them. So it probably can work.

That's exactly what I was thinking. What's a DIC and would I need to put one in my car?

It is the little computer in gm cars that states the fuel mileage compass and a couple of other features.

it interfaces with the class 2 serial data line. that is it
