If I went with a full Solo exhaust or equivalent, how much power am I giving up by NOT going with LTH and using the stock manifolds?? HFC will be used...

depending on what other mods you have i.e CAI, heads ext. most likely in the range of 8-15hp and 12-18 TQ. the less restriction ( to a point) the better, but headers usually boast alot better #s on the dyno when matched with a CAI and heads.

If money is the issue I would go with a set of Doug Thorley LT headers. They are about the same cost as the Solo HFC's and will give you about 15-20rwhp more.

pacesetter is a good brand also, if you can swing the extra $75-$100 you can get the nice coated ones but i went cheap and got the painted ones from pacesetter. Great set though alot of low end TQ and pretty cheap.

most solo exhaust and catbacks range from $250-$450 depending on brand so an average of $300

Pretty much the Kooks is the only non X pipe (true dual) and 3'' system so it seems like the right thing to get.

i got my SLP loudmouth bullit 2 cat back for $418 im sure theres better deals out there than $1500 for a cat back. plus i only gave $375 for the pacesetter long tube headers ....

Your SLPs are an axleback not a catback. I paid $1350 for my Kooks headers and x-pipe. It is well worth the cost. The quality and fitment are perfect.

The x-pipe is an advantage. It helps equalize the pressures between the 2 banks of cylinders.

If you are talking about SLP's for your Camaro they are a catback but SLP does not offer catbacks for G8's. They only sell axlebacks.
