The GXP will be loaded from the factory. Leather seats, heated seats, power everything. They won't have any base model GXP's. More than likely the only options will be whether or not it gets a sunroof and a multiple disc CD changer.

Yep they also have oil temp and pressure guages, larger diameter brakes, like 14" IIRC.
3.7:1 M6 gearset. Uprated suspension, larger wheels and tyres. 275"x19 rears.
Bodykit etc. Think AMG vs Merc and M Series vs BMW.

Where did you read that about the tires? All I've heard was that the tires will be 245's.

the 6 speed manual and the ls3 is what makes me want one! the regular gt was fun to drive, but man i bet the gxp will be a whole different family sedan of a beast!

Its called an HSV R8 same thing. Its got 9" wide rims on the rear. Unless you guys get ripped off.

You cant get the plain GT here. The GXP would be over $60,000 US!
17.5% sales tax doesnt help.
I got mine for mid $50k range with 5000 on the clock.
The car is excellent. Mods already started. Running mafless with over the radiator intake. Stroker on the way..

In addition to what's already been mentioned, XM radio and a better placed seat-back tilt control ****. When I test drove one, I remember the **** was too high up on the seat back, wedged between either the door or side panel.
