I am suprised you are looking to add more gear to your car with the HP it is making. What RPM are you trying to trap at?

About 6,900 rpms with 26" tall tires in third gear "auto" , however now going with 28" tires.

I would try the 28" tires with your 3.90 prior to swapping it out. One of the fastest NA GTO's in the country (in the 9's) I believe is running 3.90's with his 28" MT's.

No need to change both things at once if you don't need to. Take it slow and see what each change makes.

I am looking at going with less gear on mine as well, like a 3.73... and I currently have either a 4.30 or 4.35, I forget which it is.

No problem...wish I'd seen this sooner for you, but surely somebody else would need these 4.10's!

Wow, didn't know you were on this forum, lol.

With 26.5" tyres and 4.1's I was crossing the line at 6,800rpm.
Changed to 28" tyres and am now only revving to 6,100-6,200rpm crossing the line.

Sure wish 4.3:1 gears were available for these diffs.

Yeah when I had mine it didn't raise up the rpm levels as bad as I thought it would. Keep us posted on your times.
