The intake system of the GTO seems to need some freeing up. I believe ls1speed made a great system that gave them good gains.

Headers? I didn't know Kooks made a system for the GTO yet, I thought they were still in devolopment but they make amazing products if they are out yet. Any long tube header should be good though.

For a stock application we can see 10-18RWHP gains with our system that has been out almost a year! There are a few other systems but I believe only the LPE unit is close to ours in tube diameters. That would be important for someone doing other modifications like headers or a cam. Our tube does not drop below 4" and the final bend to the throttle body has extra material making it larger than 4".

We have sold a TON of stainless works headers, they have worked out awesome for us. We can also get SLP, Supermaxx, and Kooks!

We have HID kits for $449. Completely plug and play, you need to make a small notch into your caps behind the lights and disconnect the DRL relay.

ahh crap.. i just ordered a unifilter intake... for alot more than your intake is hopefully its worth the money... as far as hid kits go i have found a kit that directly plugs to the gto for 350 shipped..

what i would be looking at next is headers... i have talked to one vendor about kook.. and have been quoted a price on them... if you would like you can e-mail me a quote on what you can do for headers... i am in stl louis zip 63017 do you include sensor extenders?

Our HID kits use phillips ballasts, true OEM 4100k bulbs that are rebased with a machined aluminum plate to match the H11 mount in the GTO's.

As far as Kooks I have not talked to them yet about the pricing on that part #, I'm sure we can match any quote thats out there. We usually do stainless works headers for $859.99 and extentions are $40. (offroad) there are no functioning simulators yet so you would have to get the rear o2 codes removed with PCM tuning.

You will find the pricing for Kooks headers in this thread

https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-gto-2004-2006/249225-gto-long-tube-headers-available.html

on one of the last two pages Mikey lists an intro price.

Especially on a stock car all the 1 3/4 Long Tube headers will perform close to eachother.

If you do heads, I would recommend doing a cam too. Gears, a short throw shifter if a manual/higher stall would also be great bolt-ons.

Sorry, please explain what a HID is.

I have a cold air kit on now and need the next best performance enhancement for the least amount of $$$$$$.

thanks-

i say performance mod wise some long tube headers would be a great investment but they are not "cheap"

HID=High Intensity Discharge.

Headers, catback or a cut-out.
