Cool Pic Request: Painted GTO Grills

Woot! After three LOOONNNGGG weeks of waiting, the new grills came in for my Dad's GTO.

Ok, so here is my request. I've see the greyish/silver part of these grills painted to match the body color on several cars. In fact, went to a local show recently and saw it on a black GTO and it was looking pretty good. However, I've never seen it done to a red GTO. Anyone out there got pics of this grill painted red to match the car? Dad and I have tossing the idea around in our head for a while, but wanted to see what it looked like before we installed it.

Thanks in advance.

(P.S. I looked around for a similar topic, but didn't find out. If this is a repost, can someone point out the thread for me?)

I like black better than body color since it makes them look more like the stock grills with the deep look.

anybody painted the hood scoop inlets black as well to match the black grill? Don't know if that would look gay or not.

Thank you for all the help and pictures guys! Dad decided he wanted to at least try it out unpainted for now. If he doesn't like it, he'll rip it off and paint them...but so far he likes the look. I'll get some pictures up when it's clean. Only took us about an hour working on it together.

I have a Cyclone Grey GTO and painted my grills. I got the grills on from Fred Beans Pontiac when they ran a special. They were $212 shipped to my door and the paint work was $238 total. It was expensive but really made the front of the car look awesome.
