Jenson,

That's what I was looking to find out. There's a local event being thrown by some sketchy people locally in Houston on the 6th of next month, I'm gonna try to make time to cut the knuckles and head out there stock and see how it does on 225/245.

Any advise on your knuckle experience, played a lot with raising/lowering the steering pick up on S-Chassis, your jig looks like you've concluded just moving it directly inbound on a parallel plane to the ground is the best way to go with no funny business bumpsteer/bind etc?

I've actually started moving them a little outboard also to try and gain some Ackerman. As far as possible which isn't very far. Haven't had anyone report bump steer issues. I did lower my tie rod by using a heim joint and misalignment bushings though just in case.

That's good to know. I know on the S197 Mustangs they were a bit tricky to get dialed in.

Y'all should post on here if you're drifting your cars by the way. Would be a neat way to share videos and such:

I'm looking forward to beginning a drift car from my 93 5 speed I originally wanted to go big on the engine but I'm thinking about leaving the 3.4l and swapping some stuff or bolt ons; maybe machining or turbo idk I'm excited though especially seeing others who want to be different and drift their 4th gens
cause who wants to pull up with a 240 like everyone else I'm glad I've found this thread cause I could never find anything on drifting 4th gens now i've come across this and see there's hope lol

THANK YOU!!!!

My 1996 - Z28 - 383

Ready for the Saturday competition. How does it looks like ?

Since then :
- carbon fiber hood
- Fast removable front bumber
- still having trouble having an efficient e-brake (separate system with wilwood pump)
- air lift bags at rear

I tried to do a test as scientific as possible by mounting the phone on the fender for pictures. Apparently it turned after the first picture. Daylight was fading fast

First picture is stock, second is new rack with stock uprights, 3rd is new rack with cut uprights. I moved the rack forward as well so keeping the sway is possible. The problem now is the brakes...they hit the shock a lot. Needs a little massaging.

I thought I remembered seeing you in this thread, Robbie has showed me pics of your car on instagram. I love it

I will try soon a new set up from jenson. I had all sort of problems with the old one. It is using a flaming river rack and pinion. Also made an handbrake who works : has been a pain to do one

who knows other people using those cars for drifting so we can share experience ? I just end making a very good handbrake system (with OEM calipers and double brake system at the rear). I would love to know what people use as modifications too. Also going with Koni's shocks. The others choices for theses cars would have been coils-overs : Ride tech / KW or UMI sold some systems. Ride tech and KW are over 2000 USD so expensive and I got some bad opinions about the UMI/VIKING shocks
