Hey there, thats one awesome drifting thread right here!
Jenson, do you still sell thee steering brackets? Id like to have some more steering angle on my Camaro for drifting.
Pretty much started drifting some months ago at some "drift training" events. Really would like to enter some more drift events to have some fun.
I am from Austria and most of these events are on wet pavement... europe... lol. But well... i am on C5 magnesium wheels 245/275 and eibach/koni combo, worked pretty good but just got some 245 tires that i am going to use for drifting cause i had little understeer at higher speeds.
Im also daily driving this thing is summer so it still should be streetable.

I don't do the brackets anymore, to many failures and positive Ackerman was to high. Just doing the uprights and steering racks now. Those mag wheels are hard to find over here! Much less in EU! Love those wheels. With more angle you'll need spacers and longer studs at the very least with stock wheels.

Oh okay, well about the uprights.. Do you cut and Weld them back together and sell them? Or have you just done this on your car? What about steering racks? Cool thing to add a e36 bmw rack but sounds like to be a little more work. If i could get a steering angle like the bmw's Id already be happy
I am running spacers (15 or 20mm and could go more...) with the mag wheels but i think i should check how much room there is to add more angle.

Well, I'll post to make sure I can find this again when I get to a point I can use the info more. I built the LS short block for my friends supercharged 240 and it looks so fun I'm gonna have to play with it when my 98 Z28 is done.

Id really would like to get something done in the next few months to get some more steering angle and im not sure if i can trust to cut and weld those steering knuckles. The BMW steering rack swap sounds interesting but did anyone on here got some more infos on that?

Unisteer just finished and shipped out my new rack. It's a high ratio manual setup withe 6" of travel lIke the power rack that was on drews car. Will be making the mount as soon as it gets here and then it's going on robbie car with the new extended A arms. It's about to get real! We're going for parallel steering.

I have a 3rd gen LS camaro and I've done pretty much the same things to drift and it's so awesome to see American cars instead of 240s all the time. Great thread!

I would love to know what mod you've done to your gen 3. I used to drift with a gen 4 camaro but switched to BMW E30 / LS powered. I've also a 3rd gen on the built

Well, I'm bumping a 9 year old thread that hasn't seen any activity in about 5 years, but I gotta know (and I'm new around here, can't PM yet) - Jenson, do you still have that website up with parts for sale or am I too late to the party?

still making these? I've been following this thread since before I had my car, and I've been designing my own kit on solidworks, but its going to be a ling time before i've perfected it, so i was looking into your brackets to get a good bit of angle in the mean time.

He hasn't logged in for a long time, but it couldn't hurt to PM him - he might still get the email notification.
