Bored with Car
So I've got a WS6 that I've done most bolt ons and head/cam swap.... Probably invested what the car is worth again. I've had the car for 8 years. It was my dream car in high school that I bought in my mid 20's. It's a great car that performs great.
I'm considering selling it to get a Syclone to fix up or do an AWD S10 with an LS.
Am I being crazy?

It happens i've owned my fox body sense I was in high school and the car has been great been threw a couple motor swaps, couple transmissions, 2 rear ends did the suspension a few different times but this june im selling it to my brother and am buying an ls1 car I have also wanted one of these cars sense high school (11 years ago) but at the time they were out of my budget being in high school so I grabbed the fox, overall you're the one that has to live with the car at the end of the day do what makes you happy

Need to ask yourself, "what do I want/need in a vehicle"?
-utility
-handling
-straight line performance
-status
-luxury
-fit/finish (quality of vehicle)
-technology
-a new project
buyers remorse and sellers regret can be had fast

Possibly.
I would much rather have an LS1 F-body than a Syclone or an AWD S10/LS1 conversion. But this isn't about me...
What is it that you're bored with, specifically? The power? The car itself? This is key, because if you're bored with the car itself then adding more power likely won't do anything to cure this other than perhaps for a very short while. It's not like your current setup is slow (at least that's not usually the case for any decent H/C LS1), so more power than that won't often even be usable under most normal driving conditions.
If you're the type who appreciates the project more than the finished product, then it might in fact be time to move on. I've always been the opposite myself (the project is just a means to an end, mostly a necessary evil; for me the fun is largely about enjoying the finished product), which is why I tend to keep cars for so long.
On the other hand, if you just feel that the car is too slow, but you otherwise still really like it, then adding more power makes sense. I sort of doubt this is the case though, otherwise the concept of a completely different project likely wouldn't be your first thought (vs. just doing a more aggressive build on the current car.)

IMO don't wast your time with a H/C, go straight to FI or if you do H/C built it for boost later. It's a somewhat fun street car power wise but just not quite there. That's just my take on it, I was bored with H/C after about 2 weeks. After the whole FAST setup, UD pulley, lifters and treys, timing chain, gaskets, head bolts, push rods, oil pump, fluids etc etc etc, **** adds up...a D1SC wasn't much more money considering the power increase. And especially the ability to add more power later.

It's not really a power thing...It makes good power. With 4:10 gears more power would mostly just mean less tires. I think I'm kinda in the camp of enjoying the project more than the final product.

I love the Sy/ty platform, I got my license in my moms 1992 S-10 Blazer. It did awesome peg leg burnouts with the Vortec 4.3. I would never want to own one though. I hate working on them. Go FI on your current car. Ton's of nice used kits available to cut down on costs and it takes longer than 2 weeks to get used to 700 horsepower.
