Thumbs up 2005 LS2 GTO Dyno Results & Photo

From our Industry insider contacts , I've aquired two nice bits of info on the upcoming 2005 GTO. The dyno graph, and a photo of the new rear fascia designed for dual exhaust tips.

As for the front fascia, I hope it comes out something like this, but with the dual hood scoops added:

Thanks to our insider informants

Nice little torque curve for a stock car. The exterior changes are definitely for the better!

I'd imagine an A4 with a nice converter and a stock engine (on drag tires) could probably edge out a low 12. That would be pretty cool in a 4-seater GTO. The C6s will run 11s stock with a good driver.

Damn, just over 350- off the factory floor? They've devlivered with the performance and the car is looking a little better... there's some hope.

I just received the new Motor Trend yesterday and their official time for the new C6 with the manual was 12.7 @ 112mph. The 04' Z06 they tested ran a 12.4 on the same day at the same track. I'm not sure if a stock C6 will run those high 11s, but only time will tell. I'm waiting to see what the new C6 owners will be able to put down and how those LS2s are going to respond to mods.

I think GM has made the GTO exterior design even worse with those hood scoops. The front conflicts with the back. The scoops look nice, and add flare to the car, but they need to do something with the back end! It's sooo bland and boring but the LS2 sure isnt

Great numbers for a N/A car bone stock. My Cobra only put down 386rwhp bone stock on 8psi!

The blue GTO posted here by Nineball = Good
The silver one in the GM slideshow posted by Hoodshaker =BAD

Concerning the Blue GTO. Is that the GM AutoX body package?

Nineball: Big "props" for posting up a dyno graph. You just don't get this kind of info anywhere else

I'm not sure if that is great or not.. I do know that the Stock LS1 Z28's were rated at 305 HP but were putting down 300 rwhp to 324 rwhp stock. I would have hoped that the 400 HP lS2 would put down 400 rwhp. My.02 in

386 to the wheels bone stock? My buddy only put down 355...must be a HUGE variance from the factory

Yes, it's a Pontiac body kit that will be available through dealers this fall.
