The OG LS13 gets rephreshed
bored and proud at the same time. so making threadz on internets.
Some yall know, most yall dont, build this car last February/March for Drifting (leave the drama/whining/"its not racing" crap outta here, we all know you dont like it/love having fun, we dont care) Refreshing it thought I'd post some updates.
I'm planning on debuting the car for 2007 at D1 this weekend or Formula D Atlanta as far as big events. Got tired of last year having a ghetto pos that broke at every event even thought it was always broken to being with, making whatever adjective would best describe more broken, which is either brokenner, more broken, or jankalicious.
Anyways, here is an update of whats going on with the car and stuff, as I occassionally have people asking me, and since this year I'm not rushing everything, and job+family+selling stuff that I've had forever has so far equivacated to decent car build.
New stuff:
Painless harnesses, no more wiring problems sweet switchpanel
Chris Tyler/Jason Murphy/Mikespeed/ XAT Racing Ls1 mounting kit
Mikespeed guage cluster with Equus gauges
18'' foose nitrous all the way around
Dunlop DZ101 demo tires, Sport max for competitions.
Lea Anne Powell aka Girlspeed Inc/AIT Racing LS13 hood
Addition of more nuts/bolts that werent there before...ummm
Coming next week
Drive Shaft Shop driveshaft
ZOOM twin plate clutch
XAT Racing/Header Mike Ranlet/Mikespeed/Chris Tyler Headers which do not require removal of steering rack to add/remove header, as featured with the XAT Racing LS1 swap package
Flowmaster Super 40 dual 3'' Exhaust system with flamethrowers
New wheels
Bigger and better cooling system.
Spectre Performance Intake, fuel lines, dress up stuff.
Coming within the next few weeks
Re-installation of last years LS1, with a fresh build, with Linginfelter Cam/head goodies, more Magnuson boost, Formato tune.
New paint
New B Magic Aero kit & Widebody
500 RWHP Dyno passes from idle to redline
Same welded diff.
Pics as of now:
front on shot, blower up top, oil pan on bottom
engine bay shot
a hood that closes and covers my motor, thats a 1st!!
OMG Gagues and stuff and non crappy wiring on a mikespeed car, oh noes!!
Rear view
Kind of a front view
nother front view
Another interior shot

More updates coming soon, maybe, but people keep asking so I thought now that progress had been made, I'd post some updates. Plus I'm able to actually take a little bit of pride in my car for once, so I kinda made a thread to show off the nifty doohickeys on my car this year.
By the way, the headers on this car, and a customers car we just built dont interfere or wrap around the steering shaft, and they are longtubes

Xat needs to offer a kit or parts of the kit on thier website for the DIY people. If they had answered my emails or had more than just a page of complete LS1 swap prices they would have gotten my business.

Well to be honest with you, our mount supplier listed on teh website didn't get the measurements from his dad to make his mount kit, so head tech martin made one. Then me and chris made one. In a couple weeks me and chris are giong to sit down and make about 15 of the engine mounts, and tranny mounts. They are pretty simple, nothign spectacular, but simply, theres no need to overcomplicate it. We're also tryign to find spare subframes to notch so we can have a true bolt in kit for the DIY'ers who are still in the "i own a set of 199 dollar craftsman 4 drawer toolset but I want to do bad *** ****" mode, which there is nothing wrong with being at.

Okayz, heres the latest info
got the interior reupholstered and did a dash swap, i think it turned out pretty tight. I'd like to get poptrunk, scissordoors, and lift it with some 30's on it, but well see how that goes.
Finished redoing fuel system, would have liked to have built non-ghetto headers today, but still playing phone tag with the guy I'm picking up my flanges from.
Redid everything with real stainless line, -10 -8 and -6 marine / air force fittings and flipped the pump on, aeromotives are really pissed off sounding while tryign to push fuel thru the system, but holds a sustained 65 psi for a couple minutes no problems, ill crank it up to 80 tomorrow just to make sure, then back down to 65ish.
Under where the hood goes when attatched
Started messing with intake stuff, but our TIG is down so I'll wait till its back up so someone can weld it together instead of using 90 clamps just for simplicity sake.
redid all the fuel cell, not the cleanest install on earth, but gets the job done. Gonna remake the firewall again tomorrow or this weekend.
More updates maybe sunday or so, hopefully have the other few things I'm missing here by tomorrow or saturday, so hopefully burnouts and other related tendency video soon.
I also have not eaten any pizza or taco bell today, but I have drank Mountain Dew and a good bit of Milk.
