Default Comp TA

Had a friend point out a 95 comp t/a for sale locally. Car is fairly clean, over 100k miles and has a 383 stroker motor in it. Car is a 6 speed

I would prefer a stock motor or LS swap but I have always liked these.

What is the consensus on the value of these cars- they are rare but also few people knew about them so demand is low.

Not my car, a friend was looking at it. They asked me if it was a real SLP car and what it was worth. I got to thinking and I really don't know...

I knew a couple that each owned one. Your parents aren't named Bob and Dorie are they?

If not, there is more than one couple with his and hers Comp T/A's

I owned Comp T/A #8 for five years. Sold it in 2001.

Haha. Small world. I strongly suspected since another husband/wife Comp TA team seemed unlikely.

We used to hang out together while racing at MIR the one year that I lived in Alexandria and also hung out at the 2000 Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk OH. There was a mini Comp TA meet within the Pontiac Nationals and all Comp TA folks parked and hung out together and had a dinner with SLP staff.

Tell them I said hello.

MIR...those were the days. We'd all be there for quite a few F-Body events. I want to say Pop's Comp went 12.2 and Mom's Comp went 12.5 but that was a long time ago, probably coming up on 10 years or so that they've been to the track with them. Always good runs running my Mom as the WS6 ran 12.4, she would just come flying out of the hole and I'd have to chase her down

I went and looked at the car- pretty abused. I really like the rare LT cars but there were so many mods done to the car that it would take about 5-7k to make it presentable.

Had a LT stroked motor with a bad vibration, a hood release cable for cut outs drilled into the console and a 9" under it. Would make a good start for a bracket car- but not something you really want to go cruise in
