Default Double Din install

So I bought a pioneer 4100 and was going to install it today, my question is does it actually fit in the space without brackets or do I have to cut and fabricate something for it. A friend has a Kenwood Double Din and he said his just slid in there snug. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
