hey blade thx mine is still good the arm which engages the switch is broken at the tip been trying to find another been tough

The turn signal lever is a single piece than snapps in to the wiper switch assembly. That assembly is connected to the actual turn signal switch inside the column by a linkage.

Do you have an actual turn signal problem or is the turn signal lever not being held in the column?

The turn signal works fine it's the switch the engages the high and low beam there is a small arm that pushes in when you pull that arm is broken so when you pull what's left of the arm cannot reach the switch that pushes in

I think I found a drawing that has the high beam switch as a #17. The turn signal lever actuates a linkage that travels down the column to the base, where a rod pokes at the switch. If you can see the linkage move and that switch doesn't work, that's all you need to replace. You should be able to get it from any parts store. It's a very common part and not particular to our cars.

I assume you're looking for item #6 (circled). You don't say what year you have so here are the part numbers for all 4th generation domestic f-bodies:

What you're describing is the ignition switch - turning the key in the ignition cylinder moves a rod that controls the actual switch which is lower on the steering column. The turn signal lever is directly connected to the turn signal switch cam in the steering column just below the steering wheel and clock spring.

No, what he was describing is the high beam switch. The high beam switch also has a rod traveling down the steering column. #83 and 77 here.
