Check this sub out!
Oz audio, made in USA. 32mm xmax ONE WAY! 1,000 RMS, dual 2 ohm VC with woven tinsel leads. what do you guys think i should sell it for? my local stereo shop used to carry them for over $700, and they said it displaces more air than a JL13w7.
cool, huh?
edit: i need something practical in my car. anybody want it for 230 shipped?

well the tempest is basically a 15" shiva. i have 1 tempest and 2 shivas. if your refering to the tumult, the tumult is better (slightly louder and has better sq). hmm. $1? not even $2?

ive heard one in a 4.5 cubic foot box in a crx. LOUD! this is what the stereo shop guy said because it has the same linear displacement, but its a 15 instead of a 13. (i know jl has technology where there's less loss of cone area w/ the surround) so well call the jl a 14" sub.lol

That JL13w7 is a sweeeeeet looking piece. I've never actually heard one.

since when can you judge a speaker by it's looks? that's how so many people get suckered. there is only some info you can gather by looks. the W7 was the thing to beat when it came out. it is still a mighty sub. it is by no means king of the hill anymore.

Let's not forget JL's are way over priced...
The above is a good deal, and OZ Audio is no slouch.

My friend used to have 4 Oz 12's in his truck. They were pretty amazing. Oz defninitely makes a great product. As for what you can sell it, I'm not sure. I would post it on the caf, caraudio, and sin forums to see what they think you can get for it. I would imagine that you can prob get around $300 for it though.

i had 1 15" rockford Power Stage 2 in my z28 in a fiberglass box ported with a JL 1000/1 going to it and it hit a 156.8 db. it was one loud sub and had great sound quality and i sold it before i had a chance to put even more power to it. i have some pics of the set up if someones interested

Oz makes good stuff. for the last couple of years it seems like they take an exsisting product and engineer it to be even better than the original. They did that pretty well with the Kicker L7 and this piece looks like the same thing.
Looking at the basket, it seems like the same one that Memphis uses for the HPO/HP series. IT was orginally desinged by Lanzar. That is how the industry works. You can buy certain components that other companies use and then design the Cone and suspension differently. Or put a stronger motor in it. It can be modular in a sence across the industry.

maybe on the old AC mic. how many times did you test it? wondering if their mic was way out of calibration. if you could recreate that again, you would do a 149 on the TL. and i'd have to see it first hand to believe it. especially if it was tuned low as a daily pounder. if it is acurately true, you're the man.

well, im probably gonna sell it b/c i dont have the money to invest in the proper box and my amp isn't 1 ohm stable.
anybody here want it before i put it on ebay? one of these hasn't been on ebay for over 6 months, so it should be interesting.
