A firebird headlight question. PLease help.
Ok, so I purchased a Firebird of off one of my friends and now my passenger side headlight has stopped working completely. There is no power getting to it at all. The motor has totally stopped working and the light itself has also stopped working. I replaced the motor and that did not fix my problem. I also checked the fuse and it looks ok. I dont know what else could be causing my headlight not to work. I would assume maybe a bad wire or something? Any help on this subject would be greately appreciated.
Thanks
Rob

Are you sure the motor stopped working? The most common problem that Pontiac F-body guys have with their light motors is that the cheap plastic gear is stripped and the motor is working, just the light isnt moving. If this is your case, check out this site on a way to temporarily fix it.

If your motor is actually not working, then double check the wires and the fuse for it. There are separate fuses for both the left and right motors. If you still cant find the problem, then I dont know what to tell ya! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

sounds like one of the connectors is unplugged... there should be a black box on the drivers side of the engine bay with 2 connectors going into it... one ofwhich may be unplugged.

Can anyone tell me where the fuses are on an 01 TA? I looked and didn't see anything in the fuse box or under the hood that said headlight fuses. Thanks

Well, if we kept all of the headlight related problems and questions in one thread it'd be easier to find answers vs. formulating intelligent search phrases to find what you need among hundreds of threads. :-)
Thanks for the fuse info...seems that it's under the hood and all that it was!

Cause its quicker to search cause the question and the answer are usually there.
At least we know the search works
