Unhappy Chevelle Kicked my *** on my CBR (w/ Vid)

A couple friends and I were going to a local Sat night car show and on the way there I end up at a stop sign with my buddy and his 1969 Chevelle SS. I look over, point at him and the road, but apparently he was thinking the same thing because he took off before I had my hand back on the throttle!
He immediately puts a car on me (he also started in 2nd gear so as not to fish tail and take me out ) and unfortunately we ran out of road before I could catch up to him! I gotta get him on a rematch on a better and a longer road though!! I hit a little dirt strip that spun my back tire in first too , But regardless, he'll always take me from a dig but I think given enough room I might catch him on the top end! His sucker runs strong though!!!

Here's the vid!!

In my g/f's bolt on Mach 1 with 4.10 gears and drag radials I stayed ahead of a new CBR 600 with a swing arm from a red light all the way up to 100mph when he passed me. Driving skills go a LONG way!

Round trip from my house to that car show was about 120 miles. I'll ride in a shirt and shorts if I'm going down the street to the bank or to eat but if I'm going on the freeway or plan on being on the bike for more than 5 minutes round trip I'll wear the gear. It's a PITA sometimes too living in LA...110 degree heat, traffic and full leather...

I'll see what I can get out of him next time, he works for Magnuson and his small block is a test mule for alot of their products...sneaky bastard!

You guys have bad traffic out there? The worst part isn't the heat, the leather, the helmet or sitting still, it's the damn Aluminum Frame soaking up all the engine heat and transfering it to every damn metal piece of the bike! I swear sometimes those frames feel like they are bout ready to catch your leg on fire!
