HHR SS kills 2000 ish Ford Mach 1
I was coming back home when a red Ford Mach 1 came up along side of me. I didn't think much of it until he started taking off a little bit and slowing down again to get even with me. I looked at him and thought, "Great I'm going to get beat". Well I shifted down to 2nd gear and got the boost up and we took off from a 40 mph roll. Folks, I swear I thought I was going to lose this race but I pulled away from the guy pretty easy. I got up to about 110mph or so and I was already far enough to see him in my rear view.
He then pulled up to me at one of the lights we hit and wanted me to roll the window down. He ask if I had mods and said he didn't think HHR's were supposed to be fast. He was very cool about it.
I'm not sure what the Mach 1s run in the 1/4 mile but I was surprised to beat one. He was also manual from what it sounded like. I miss the Camaro a ton but that was a good feeling as well. time to get back to the track to see what this turd will run now.

I actually agree with you this time. I had a Mach pull me pretty smoothly to 60 several years ago when I was bone-stock. My cars a fully loaded convertible though. Still edged him out up top from a dig but it was close.

I wish I wish it could have been AWD or RWD because 1st and 2nd gear is almost useless at WOT a low speeds.
