Default Holy crap those new 5.0's are fast!!!

Met up with a buddy of mine last night for a peak at his black on black 5.0. 6500 mies on the odometer. Full exhaust, intake, and tuned auto. The car has 4.10 gears also. After hanging for a while he wanted to do some quick hwy runs to see how he faired against the vette.

He faired pretty damn good. Only had him by 1 maybe 1 1/2 by 120. I trap 117, I'm assuming he does also. I have to give ford props on this one. Once the blowers become more abundant, these things will be in the 125 range. Time to put some headers and a tune on the vette.

The stock motor Kenne Bell kit for the 5.0 is 600whp on pump gas.

That is insane power for a slap on blower kit w/ no other mods.

My brother just put his on the dyno today, tune loaded in a programmer from a buddy on owns a shop, axleback flowmasters, JLT CAI and it put down 413/400. Solid 116-117mph car still has stock midpipe and cats.

yea a guy I work with has the a new A6 5.0 car with a tune, jlt, offroad xpipe, and some kinda axleback and hes been tearing up the streets. He still has the stock 315 gear too and I have to say its very impressive. I went and watched him run a modded evo (bigger turbo and cams is what I was told) and he beat him 3 out of 4 times from a dig.

The new 5.0 is fast but still needs the driver mod plus a few extra to run with an LS3 vette.

How many passengers in the vette? Probably three people er...two fattys I mean? Maybe the stang was sprayin'?
Yeah I think I am going to wish I went with a bigger cam and stall now that I come to think of it

Sad to see my brother's go away. Would have been fun for him to mod it and play around with my car with it.

But when a car spits out a transmission at 5k miles and Ford won't cover it under warranty, it gets kicked out of the stable.

Whattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt?!?!!??!!? That's some serious bullshit. Why would they refuse to fix a car under warranty when this is like the #1 issue with them right now? That's some serious bullshit, you need to call some higher ups.

The M6 litterally says "Made in China"...serriously.

I would only have the A6

All the prior iterations of Ford's Mod motor were miserable turds at best. Complicated, unreliable, difficult to build, poor aftermarket support until the early '00s (the motor came out in 1991 if I remember). Ford finally did it correctly but it took 20 years to get here...

Those trans problems suck. GM replaced mine @ 28k even though I had a aftermarket clutch and shifter in it. Not to mention headers on too.
