Default You see all those buses?!?

Had a couple of buddies run their tuners, Civic on 30lbs/Vortech Infinity G35, the other night....both exceptionally strong cars, but didn't expect the gap to be bus lengths!!

I don't really think that roll speed was good for the G35. At 60MPH he was damn close to red-line and from the looks of it, he up-shifted before the race. Not saying that the Civic wasn't going to kick its *** from the start, but it could have been better. If the engine is built in the G35, he either needs to up the boost or get a new supercharger head unit. He could do a lot better.

I've never seen an S/C VQ35 do anything impressive regardless of dyno numbers.

+1 they are pigs and I haven't been impressed by one.

Knew the Civic would rape the second I saw both mods.

So a car with 200+ whp and -1000lbs pulls buses?

What a surprise.

I don't know, you rarely see Civics get traction. I've seen a lot of civics get beat by cars making less power because of that. With the G35's mods it's probably more like a ~100whp advantage on the civic.

Yeah, you called it exactly right man. He pulled back to 2nd gear for the launch and instantly hit redline and had to shift. 45 roll woulda been better....at least get a little bit of work outta that gear.
And the V7 YSI blower is in the works next for that G35. 20+lbs of boost otta make the difference you guys were lookin for...

Centrifugal superchargers on VQ motors suck. He's gonna make a lot less torque then he would with a roots style blower and not make any where near as much power or have top end like a turbo.

Vortechs don't put out big power on VQs, that G35 is probably a lil bit over 400hp. Most likely why he built the motor is because the stock rods go at around 400tq.

Yeah man, he's all about trying to get that car to hook up. He's got a cool vid of his car breaking loose into a burnout at 100MPH! LOL
