Default 02' WS6 vs 01' WS6 vs SRT8 **Video**

After our local car club had a dyno day, a few of us decided it was time to head down to Mexico for a quick break from Cali.

Myself and LS1 Rob have developed a little rivalry, and along came SRT Boy with his Charger SRT8 to see what the boat could do. It's always fun cruising down to Mexico with friends. I forgot my sunscreen and got burnt, lol

All runs were from 45-110 mph approximately, there were was too much traffic in some of the footage to get clean top end runs.

Tale of the tape:

02' WS6 (6 speed)
Mild Cam/ Headers/ Tune/ stock 3:42's
Dyno'd 397 rwhp 367 lb ft

01'WS6 (6 speed)
Headers/ Tune/ 4:10 gears/ Michael Schumacher jockey special
Dyno'd 357 rwhp 375 lb ft

08' SRT8 Charger (auto)
Heads/ Cam/ Intake/ gutted cats through flowmaster muffler
Dyno'd 440 ish rwhp 397 lb ft

enjoy in HD!

Yup, I'll be the one to say it...

Buncha mental midgets on display here. Do you think you could have found a more crowded highway to "race" on?

Hats off to the guy in the black T/A getting it done with less and he knows how to shift. Small cams are so shitty, still don't understand why people run em.

I admit it was stupid, I probably wouldn't do it again. It was crowded but not as crowded as the video may have made it seem.

4:10 gears and someone that can drive the crap out of their car along with not being able to wind it up to 120 mph+.

The black WS6 made more torque than me surprisingly and he's trapped higher at 113.7 after the gears to my 112 mph.

I can't stress enough how big of a difference 4:10 gears will make over 3:42's, proof is in this video.
That will probably be my next mod when I get a Ford/Moser 9"

I guess I would have thought the extra 35 hp, and better powerband for racing would've overshadowed the gear difference. Anything can happen in the real world though...

Good runs for sure Jason! Was a fun day and we finally squashed our rivalry lol.

Yes I'll admit we should have found somewhere with less traffic, but we love two hours away so it's hard to get a run in at all.

Rematch from a dig soon? Haha.

Black ran hard for mods. SRT8 had alot of weight to move around, but was holding up well a few seconds after the hit.

Good runs for sure

No way in hell I'm running you from a dig, lol. But yeah we will do that rematch soon enough. You got me this time.

We might have to head down to Nicaragua where there is less traffic next time. I'm interested in seeing if I can reel you in before you're out of gear with those 4:10's.
