Boss 302 vs L99 with intake and tune (DIG)
My buddy finally got some 285 super sports and dead hooks from a stop. How many cars am I going to have to reel in?
Probably do a 30 punch too.
I'm clinically retarded from a wot dig punch fyi

For a guy who owns a 5.0... you sure do seem to hate them and have zero confidence in them. Unless youre just trolling and I keep taking the bate. I ran my buddies intake/tune 6 spd SS way back when my car was stock. From a dig.... he came out about half a car each time... and then i proceeded to put several buses on him through all the gears. This is the same guy who went 12.7 at 111 bone stock in his 2010 SS.

Idk its just strange... to answer your question OP. He has the trans advantage... but your car is fairly easy to launch on the stock clutch. Its the shifting that gets difficult lol. All you have to do is not panic and floor it once you see him get out on you and you wont have a problem coming around him. If you panic and see him getting ahead and goose it...causing you to light the tires up and have to peddle it... you likely wont catch him. Assuming his car runs half way decent for what it is (good trans and VVT tuning)

the coyote is a better platform and loses like its a lifestyle. so yep he will lose and not reel in a thing without tires himself.
I have a local dealer salesman with a coyote. he literally takes 2 seconds to shift.
AND the mt82 in my car is just about finished and I haven't driven it hard since the clutch/flywheel warranty change.
the engine is world class, the execution for the drivetrain is from china and turkey.
I am going to have to spend 6k to fix this shitbag drivetrain. ford NEVER just does everything right. never.

use your handheld tuner to set a 1500-2000 rpm two step. (push clutch in and rpm stays there)
floor the gas.
lift the clutch at a moderate and steady rate until its released. should take a second. shift.
slip the clutch till you figure out how much your tires can take.
replace clutch after a few dozen races.
hold the throttle to the floor for the entire race and clutch/shift fast.
lift and clutch if you start to wreck.
