Default mustang owners are at it again

my friend has a 96 mustang gt. all it has is an underdrive pulley kit, and a cold air intake, i drive a 94 formula firebird with an intake, short shifter, and flowmaster muffler, we have raced many times, and i have beat him from a 20 roll, 35 roll, i even killed him on a 60 roll, yet he still talks all that ish, and thinks he could beat me from a dead stop, im thinkin bout shutting him up for good, but was just wondering if anyone had any more info on these two cars and if you would think i would win

The 96-98 4.6's are dogs. If you can launch worth a crap, you should have him easily. Even if you blow the launch, you should chase him down. If youre confident in your driving, give him a couple cars head start and rell him in and pass him. Put that POS Mustang in his place.

My car is stock except for CAI, exhaust and cutout, SLP headers, B&M short shifter, 1.5 roller rockers, 52 mm throttle body, 100 shot n20, eddlebrock heads , xe 224/230 cam, madz28 tune and other things that I dont remember but even if my car was completly stock rated at 285 it can smoke th hell of a mustang gt either rated 1997 and below at 220-230 hp or a 98 or above rated at 260... Mustangs are a joke. Only girls and guys that don't know anything about cars get these things

I've been there with my friend when he had his 96 gt. He had a cold air kit and an offroad h-pipe and he wanted to race me, said he had hung with and beaten lt1's. I have a 93 m29 6spd that was bone stock at the time. We raced from a stop and I handed him his *** by about 4 or 5 car lengths. He later put in 4.10's and was sure he was going to beat me now. Yeah right, I handed him his *** again, but only by about 3 or 4 cars. He later sold the car a got an ls1. So yeah you should have no problem beating your friend.

Real educated statement there. The last bone stock 05 I raced ran a 13.3 at the track. What did your car run bone stock?

Your friend is going to have hurt feelings as long as You do not spin out of the hole

Back in the day we used to ripp them aparts light to light with our 95 3.4 V6 car At the track we would come out on them and pull them till about the 330 and they could not usually get by us till the 1/8th mile mark of course after that they would pull away.

The 4.6 has always been a top end motor. He has already lost to you in his sweet spot and his only hope of beating you in your sweet spot is that you will spin

Best times I have seen out of a 98 4.6 Cobra here was 13.7s. that was with a TQ arm conversion , headers ,CAI and tuning. Turbo and blower cars go much faster but you are not racing one of those

I think he was talking about pre '05s... which still run even at best with 7 year old stock 98 LS1s.
