01' Z28 Vs. 07' STi Ya So My Homie Bought His STi About A Month Ago And Told Me That When He Comes Down He Would Race, Well, Today Was That Day. He Told Me To Race On The Street But I Said I Didnt Want To Becuase I Didnt Want To Risk It, Besides I Wanted To Race Somewhere Where We Had Space. So We Went To The Freeway, Around 60-70 Mph I Honked 3 Times And We Went At It. We Were Both Next To Each Other But Around 100 Mph I Just Started Passing Him And Beat Him By About 1 Car. Then The Second Time I Beat Him By 2 Or 3 Cars....It Was Good Racing, To Tell The Truth I Thought I Was Gonna Lose Because I've Seen Other Posts With Modded SS's Losing, And I Had A "Stock A4 Z28." But Hey I Guess Like The Guy In Tokyo Drift Said, "You Wouldnt Have That Problem If You Had A V8"

Sweet runs and sounds around right to me...
I beleave an 2001 auto LS1 Fbody with the 3.23's will trapp 102-105 mph on average...While the 07 STI is in the 100-103 mph range..
Amazing how fast STI's/Evo's are starting to get...
And the new EVO's with 260 AWHP will tapp 102-105 mph just like your 2001 auto Fbody!!!!!!
Atleaste manual to manual a 1998-2002 Fbody is still faster than a 2007 EVO/STI in trapp speed..But there getting to close for comfort LOL.

I had a 30 something y/o lady jump out on me in one. Brand new 06 with dark tint and paper tags. She dropped 3rd and took off. I caught her and made short work of it up this gigantic hill. When we got to the top she rolled the window down and smilled at me with the hugest grin ever. I would have never expected her to take off all of a sudden.
