The Bilsteins or the KYB Adjustable would be good choices..I have the KYB's and they have been good riding shocks

i just ordered some strano spec bilstein hds, and they work really well. i got them because i dont plan on lowering my car. if i planned on lowering i would have gotten the konis. the strano spec set that i bought uses a different valving for the rear shocks. its just an older versioin of the bilstein hds that have are set up a little better than the new ones. good luck

if you do a search you'll find all kinds of opinions on this issue. especially in the KYB vs Koni department. it all depends on your application. i put on some KYB and i don't have any complaints, they're good for a stock replacement/DD, but i wouldn't push them past that. good luck with whatever you choose.

Well, a set of Bilstein's the way I sell them (using a better IMO rear valving) is $425.00 for all 4. I sell those fronts for $110 each vs. Lingenfelters $139, and use a better rear damper (more rebound, less compression, still a fully covered Bilstein HD for warranty still).

FWIW, that statement is coming from someone who now has a second set. I seem to recall the car and shocks met an untimely end in a hurricane..... Given the choice to replace with something else, Adam didn't.

Sam do you sell just the rears?
On a car lowered ~1" would they benefit from a lowered bottom shock mount?

Yes, I sell just rears. They are $85 each. Moving the shock mount is a useless, time wasting endeavor. The shock have way more compression travel than we can use, and shortening them or lowering the mount only costs you droop travel.

No.. There is a difference between Revalves and my selling an alternate valving I know about, but others don't (or don't seem to care about). The Strano spec HD's are production HD fronts like everyone has, but with an older and better rear valving.

I mis-typed earlier, was working off memory of old pricing.... Sorry.

Fronts are $135 each, rears $87.50 each. Totals $445. If you buy the as a set, they are $425, saving $20.

Sorry for the confusion. Hard to keep up with all the numbers in my head.

For pete's sake - listen to Sam! Bilsteins are an excellent improvement, but nut up for the Konis if you're keeping the car. I wish I had.

Had Bilstein HD's on the six which I liked a lot, and now have Koni's on the Formula which are even better.

edit: I have the Koni SA's.
