Default OEM Disc Brakes for 15 inch Wheels

What I am wondering is if anyone knows of any OEM disc brake set ups that will bolt onto 93-97 4th Gen cars! Seems to me that there have to be some caliper mounts and rotors that would work to make clearance for 15" Drag Wheels.

Something off a Blazer or S10 might be small enough, I know they can fit 15" wheels where the F-bodies needed 16" minimum, so they feature smaller front disks and they have the same bolt pattern as our cars.

I was thinking the same thing. My car was given to me and it's an old SCCA car and all of the rotors are blue from heat. I want to replace everything but don't want to spend $1500+ in aftermarket stuff just so I can clear my Prostar rims so I was hoping there might be an 11" stock rotor/caliper set up that might work!

I'm a little confused, 15-inch wheels fit your current brakes it just requires you to slightly grind the rear calipers.

Well, I am confused too because everyone seems to have a different opinion! Some say you have to run a spacer and grind, some say just a spacer and some say just grind front, rear etc.

So you are saying that on an LT1 no grinding or spacer in the front and just slight grinding on the rear!

Haha, everyone has an opinion about everything in the car world. Well, I know for a fact they fit since I did it to my LS1 SS so they will work on your LT1 car. First, you must get the correct wheel offset for the front and the rear. With some research on here you can find that info pretty easily. But yes, the front will only need a spacer and the rear will reguire less grinding that the LS1 brakes, bud still need some grinding.

Also, you'll probably want extended wheel studs out back because you'll be threading into the tip of the factory studs.

Wow! I thought for some reason he was looking for a "no-grind" option for the rear.

I want to say Bogart has a direct fit wheel available. Just a bit more coin than the Weld Pro Starts. SJM sells them. I would ask them or Bogart directly. It may even be Billet Specialties, I know someone makes a direct swap wheel.
