Default For those that have Founders panhards

Total newb question for ya, do these panhards come already greased or do you have to pull the fitting and grease prior to install? I've emailed Founders and asked but haven't heard back yet. Want to slap this on the car tonight after work.

Thanks

Just has a zerk fitting, installed on the car and hit it with a couple pumps on the grease gun.

I did smear a little grease on the bushing that rubs against the mounts also.

Thanks for the response, how's yours been holding up? Satisfied with it so far?

Yup quite happy. No issues. I've not put very many miles on it yet however as I've only driven maybe 1500 miles at most this year as the weather has been so wet. But so far so good.

I've got a few thousand miles on mine, and it's all good.

Glad they're working out for you guys! Did you just hand tighten the bolts? I've read in a couple of places where they've mentioned torqueing them to 61 lbs...

No, I used my ratchet to snug them down, I don't think they would stay put if I just used my fingers

This doesn't relate to the above discussion but I didn't feel a new thread was worth opening.

What size bolt is needed for the rod end of a Founders panhard bar? They didn't include one with my purchase and the factory bolts are too thick.

The factory bolt is stepped. Make sure you have the right rod end spacer on the right side. The two have different inside diameters to match the step in diameter of the bolt.

I found this out the hard way. When I pulled the bolt back out, the PHB smacked me in the forehead.

I actually ordered the non-adjustable phb about 10 days ago. It was shipped from Pennsylvania to Ohio in 4 days. It's not on my TA yet but it looks good.

Week-ish or something like that. There was a weekend in the middle of it. Don't really recall, so it must not have been anything painfully slow or slam-bang fast lol.

The logical follow-up to the thread subject line is "get a watts link".
