Sorry to revive such an oldie, but at least it shows I'm searching... do you just grease these through the grease fitting, or do you have to take them off and grease the outsides of the bushing so they don't squeak against the bracket to which they're mounted?

I used marine grease. I smeared a little bit on each side of the bushing to slide it into place easier. Used the same grease in the bushing nib as well.

I would apply anti-seize to the inner {where the sleeve goes through} and outer part {where the bushing contacts the LCA} of the bushing when I first put it together. I would then empty out a small grease cartridge {the best I could} and fill it with anti-seize. Then, every once in a while, I would shoot some in the zerk fitting. No kidding feller, anti-seize works great on poly.

I second the marine type grease. It is designed to not be washed away by water. It's goodstuff. You can buy then in grease gun tubes as well.

I've seen some warning labels that you aren't supposed to mix synthetic grease with "dino" grease. If it's true you might need to clean the old grease off to put the Mobil 1 stuff in. Just a guess.
