Re: I cant hook at ALL Nitto 555 vs 555r
I recently installed 315 Nitto 555R's on my T/A to replace the 245 GSC's. I couldn't hook for crap with the old tires. Now with the new Nittos, the only thing slipping is my clutch <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

The 555's SUCK!!!!!! I have a buddy that has them on his 02 Lightning and he does NOT get any traction. I have another buddy that has a 02 Lightning and he has 555R's, he LOVES them. To make them work properly u need to smoke them before u race. Depending on how many burns u do they will last u a lil while.......10,000-18,000 miles. Everyone that I know has the 555R's, get 'em. If u do more track racing get the BFG DR's or ET streets. $300 for what size??? If ur getting the 315's u should pay about 160-180 a tire. If u have the 255's u should pay about 140-160. get a line lock, save ur rear brakes.

I cant hook at ALL Nitto 555 vs 555r
I cant hook as my tires are balding now. I just need to know if the 555s will be good for my mods and gears. Or do I need the 555Rs, How are Kumos new racing tires for hooking. Remember this is a daily driver when its not getting something done to it or fixed.
There are a lot of street races and thats where I am sufferring. I still have not lost but I am tired of playing catch up.
Any recomendations are appr.
Nitto 555Rs $299.99 shipped is what I am looking at now but if I can save a few bucks I will I need a ne electric cutout.

Thanks I guess I will go with the 555Rs our sponcer has them for 149.99 each and free shipping. You have to deal with the guy in the GP section to get that price.
BTW who has the best price on a line lock and which one should I get.

I wish I could help u on that. I know Thunder Racing has a total kit for 200, then other sponsers have the SLP kit for 140, don't know if it's an entire kit.
