Default Rear Comp Engineering drag shocks streetable for DD??

I am thinking bout purchasing a set of rear comp engineering drag shocks and setting them for 50/50. How streetable will these be? Will the *** end of my car feel way too loose and bouncy? I drive this car everyday so it can't be too uncomfortable. Also, are they going to last a fairly long time reliably on the street??

I wasnt expecting that answer to be honest. I figured a drag shock would feel looser. So they'll actually feel stiffer?? What about cornering??

come on guys i really need to know if these will be streetable so I can make my decision! I will have them set on 50/50. Even if you have another brand on your car, tell me how your rear drag shocks affect your ride going straight AND cornering as well.

drag shocks are stiffer, thats what you want for the rear to prevent squating

i say go with lakewood 40301, they are a solid 50/50 and you dont have to deal with the junk adjustment on the comp ene ones

fair enough. So since they are stiffer, will my cornering actually be better?? Also, will these actually help traction or do I NEED to get front shocks as well? I really dont want front shocks too if they will hurt my streetability like I imagine they would. 90/10's cant be fun around corners...

if you want the best of both worlds, its not cheap and you are going to be having a trade off from eaither a drag or auto x adjustablity shock

with more drag in mind get some qa1's or afco's if you have the money

with more street turning and stuff, go with like some kyb agx or something

the drag ones will be better at drag, but be able to turn a **** and stiffen / loosen them up for turning

while of course like the kyb's will be better at turning but be able to somewhat get losened / tighting up for drag

For drag racing don't you want squatting(i.e. weight transfer)?

that's what I always thought! I figured the back was supposed to squat and the front is supposed to lift, then drop quickly

Whether they are more stiff or less stiff than stock its going to make the car handle goofy because the front doesn't match up.

As you can see I have shocks aimed at handling rather than drag, but theres someone on here that cut something like a 1.4 60ft with Konis. With the stock power I'm making I noticed no real difference in being able to hook up any better, but let me tell you the ride and handling is night and day. If your concerned with cornering at all, you might as well just go with Koni SAs, you can adjust them to your liking as well.

EDIT: just noticed your sig, with the just the Konis on (stock sway bars) I cut a 2.2 60ft, it was better than I did with stock ,but then again I cant drive...

Dont bother with KYBs, they're cheap junk (do a search, they break and I have yet to see someone say something good about them).
