SLP 32mm and 21mm Sway Bars...

Re: SLP 32mm and 21mm Sway Bars...
I did find out the 01 SS's come with 32mm fronts, but 19mm rears.. I guess I would have to go up to 35mm solids to really feel the difference.. Now I just have to decide on whether to go 21mm or 25mm rear with my 315's in the rear..

Re: SLP 32mm and 21mm Sway Bars...
I put the SS sway bars from SLP (don't remember the sizes) and there was a noticable improvement and much flatter (less body roll) as I fly around cloverleafs and other curves that I attempt to tackle at high speeds.
But like Vince said, what works for one car might not work for another. Mine is also on the average to lighter side of F-bodies weighing in at 3,400lbs. I also with the exception of KBB double diamond SFC's, only have Hotchkis LCA's and a Panhard rod.

With me in my car I am very close to 3800lbs on a quarter of a tank.. When I added the 315's along with the 17x11's that just increased my weight.. I am going to buy the 35mm for sure. I am just unsure on the rear sway bar.

I have the RKSport 35MM front & 25MM rear solid sway bars on my 2001 Z28, and love the way the car handles. It is very tight into the corners, and is very solid going into a strong head wind at freeway speeds.
The only down side is the noise the poly bushings and endlinks create, it vibrates down the bar whenever you go over any bumps or depressions on the road. I greased the D bushings heavily with pure silicone grease upon installation, however to no avail.

The front and rear sway bar package is $325. That includes the upgraded bushings, and hardware.

Re: SLP 32mm and 21mm Sway Bars...
The performance difference between hollow and solid sway bars is not much at all, but the hollow bars are substantially lighter. If you think about it, the very center of the bar sees virtually no twist at all, and the amount of "work" done my the bar material increases as you get farther out from the centerline of the bar. The most (and most of) deflection is seen at the outside 5-10% of the swaybar material. If you remove most of the center of the bar, you will make the bar considerably lighter. And, since the material in the center of the bar does not do much "work" you are really not losing much stiffness (just alot of weight). Just my thoughts....GOod luck!
