2000 SS front Sway bar??
Is the stock sway bar the same as the 1LE? I'm bidding on one on Ebay and wanted to know if i should keep bidding. It says it's a 32mm 1LE bar.
Also side note. The rear 1LE bar too, Which is 21mm. How large is the stock rear?

My 02 SS came with 32 front 19 rear.
Yours may have come with either the 32 or the 30 and probably a 19 rear.
Regardless... I would save the money and go ahead and buy Strano's 35/22 bars.

stop bidding!
The stock SS front bar is 32mm
Only the 93 cars got the 32mm/21mm combo. So if you are bidding on 1LE sway bars im pretty sure you are bidding on the 32/19mm bars which you already have.

Cool thanks fellas. I'll get the Strano ones when i have $$ but i seen these for little and figured why not.
They are seperate. I'm gonna stop on the front but pick up the rear if i can get it for less than $40. There rear is 21mm w/ new bushings.
Since we are on the subject of 1LE crap, were would be the best place to pick up a 1LE trans mount, and LCA bushings? I do have Aftermarket boxed LCA's but am willing to try the 1LE bushed stockers since i have them still.

Yeah.. the 21 rear bar for cheap is a good way to go. then i'd just stick with that and add the 35 front.
If you just go to autozone and get new bushings for the LCA they'll be solid rubber. pretty much the same if not identical to the 1LE bushings. Or you can get Moog "problem solver" bushings from strano that are solid rubber of a firmer formula. The autozone ones work great for me. That is unntil i find (or make my own) rubber/rod combo LCA's which I believe would be the ultimate LCA.
Can't help you on the trans bushing... however.. the setup I like best is Poly motor mounts and a relocated torque arm (either short or full length w/ relocation crossmember). That of course negates the need for a stiffer trans mount.

^^ That's what i was thinking. Go 32/21 for a while til i outgrow it, then step up to strano's combo.
I plan on eventually replacing all of the major bushings front and rear with Urathane ones. Aside from the Trans one, heard that it just adds bad interior vibrations.
Thanks for the help

A word of caution... polyurethane is not the best material for many of the bushings on our cars. Rear lower control arms and to some extent the panhard bar need to be able to twist. Also, the rear bushing on the front lower control arm is another place where poly is not suitable. Also- poly has a tendency to deform. For the LCA's and PHB- poly/rod combo or as i said, rubber/rod (if you can find it) or rod/rod (if you can tolerate it) are the best ways to go... that is if you can't settle for stock.

Duely noted, thank you sir! That is why i like this site so much, a bunch of know it alls, that actually know what the hell they are talking about. This car is my first real venture into suspension so i need all the help i can get.
I am looking at the UMI single adj. PHB, that is rubber/rod. and i am looking into the 1LE lca bushings if they will fit my Edelbrocks. As suggested.

oh no, chances are the rubber bushings wont fit your edelbrock arms
most aftermarket arms just have a section of tubing at the end of the arm and two symmetrical halves of polyurethane that fit inside it.. it can be disassembled and reassembled by hand.
stock bushings are press fit... the rubber is bonded inside a metal case which is press fit into the arm. one side of the metal case is larger than the other side and likewise the hole on one side of the stock arm is larger than the other. I've not seen any aftermarket arms that accept stock bushings.

As has been pointed out, your SS already has a 32mm front bar on it. While the 21 rear is considered "1LE", it's always left out that it was 1LE only in '93 and 01-02. In 93 the springs were different front vs. rear than on 94-99 cars. And in 01-02 the 21 was teamed with a 35mm front from SLP. In short, 32/21 is not a combination I'd recommend or run unless you get 1LE front springs and run Z28 rears like the '93 car was setup. And even then you could benefit from more front bar still. FWIW, your car being a 2000 might have 1LE springs all around to start with, some did, some didn't.
And boxed style rear LCA's bind the rear suspension, adding even more roll stiffness, which is more reason to not run a 21 rear with only a 32mm front.
I can get you 1LE rear bushings for the stock GM arms. If you want to box them, you can do that. The bushings are direct replacements and run less than $60 for all 4.
