Two main things to consider...
1) Short torque arm is better for drag racing while long is better for road work.
2) Trans mounted runs risk of breaking tail housing with high power levels.
You decide what you need.

Another option option is the re-mounted long arm to avoid the tail shaft breakage issues. But yeah it's pretty much what the fellas above said.
I run thew BMR shrt arm w/ Spohn mount btw.

yep thats what i thought! I had the SPOHN tunnel mounted with polyurethane. And I had it at 1 or 2 degrees and it was noisy (clunky). The shop worked on it and said nothing was wrong with it. Latter i sold it. And now with my build i'll get another one.
Do you have the CLUNKY noise ??? Thanks!!

On the spohn mount.... Does yours have a bushing? Mine is solid mounted with a sleeve and a bolt. I actually had to shave the sleeve so that it fit. So i'm sure mine is more clunky than most.

There are benefits to running a short and to running a long style.
I run a long style because:
-I like the geometry effect it places on instant center.
-I like that Mine is relocated off the tailshaft, and now i can adjust how hard it hits the tires. If i am hitting the tires too hard(or at an unprepped track, I just move the front mount point down a few holes. If the track is biting, i can raise it up, and hit them harder.
-I have seen too many guys break those short styles, let alone they are funky loud and vibrate(not that it matters in my car) but it would matter in you typical bolt on DD car.
Remember guys, weigh your options!!!

I don't know, I think it just depends on the car. Mine was making 460rwhp and launching off a 2step for 2 years at 5k plus on slicks. It never flinched. I have personally only seen 1 actually break the tailchaft, but i have seen numerous short style break. Then again, I am probably biased, as i run a long style.

Wow i've never even heard of a tunnel mount T/A breaking, but i have seen quite a few pictures of the Tailshaft snapping off.
Oh if you wanna go the route of adjustability for instant center, take a look at Madman's T/A. I am not biased, but i am trying to keep this in sort of equal ground, as stated in my first post, there are benefits to all three set-ups depending on what you are doing with the car.
If you want to go all gungho the De-coupled T/A would be ideal. We all have our preferences.

Spohn tunnel mount here. I guess I haven't really heard any clunking, but I have dumped bullets and only about 1200 miles on it. I'll have to wait and see with the M6, but it did make alot of clunking when my exhaust was hitting on it when my hanger broke off LOL, but I'll say one thing that TA bites hard compared to the stocker
