Talking Dyno Results: Bolt-On Modifications for 2010 SS

Had a good time at the LMR dyno day yesterday. Here is the story, along with some photos of the event.

sweet, any track times? Dont they usually dyno higher than 352 stock?

pretty impressive gains with the LMR air box added.

Damn, i want to know what it will do with the tune before the blower install. Bad *** man.

Not on this dyno. Typically 350-360 here. Pay more attention to the net gains, less about dyno racing on different dynos.

+50hp and +35 tq untuned? Thats bad ***! wonder what a tune will do to it!

LMR guys estimate 10-15 rwhp peak with a tune, but most of the tunes really improve the low/mid range rpm more than anything. The key to a tune is the improvement in track performance, since they can reduce the torque management, turn the fans on earlier, and adjust the timing. Stuff that doesn't show up on a dyno.

Thats really good power, hows do these numbers compare to an LS3 C6 with similar mods?

Okay, I know dynos are just tools for measuring gains. Thats pretty cool, hows the a/f look?

No wideband was used, this wasn't a tune session. The stock MAF can correct for bolt-ons very easily. Stock tunes are overly safe, even the slightest bit of knock and it will pull a crapload of timing. You can see evidence of the timing pull on the green (exhaust only) pulls.

Very nice... Seems as though the 5th gens will soon be a forceto be reconed with on the Hwy's once Cam's,Heads are added... Nice car tony.

yeah seems right around 5500 it had some knock so timing was pulled! Gotta love these advanced computers. I really am considering one of these bad boys! I just have to wait til economy gets better so I can afford another note LOL
