Dyno Results: Bolt-On Modifications for 2010 SS Had a good time at the LMR dyno day yesterday. Here is the story, along with some photos of the event.

LMR guys estimate 10-15 rwhp peak with a tune, but most of the tunes really improve the low/mid range rpm more than anything. The key to a tune is the improvement in track performance, since they can reduce the torque management, turn the fans on earlier, and adjust the timing. Stuff that doesn't show up on a dyno.

No wideband was used, this wasn't a tune session. The stock MAF can correct for bolt-ons very easily. Stock tunes are overly safe, even the slightest bit of knock and it will pull a crapload of timing. You can see evidence of the timing pull on the green (exhaust only) pulls.
