If you have no codes, and 2 or less "not ready"s, then you will pass emissions. That's not to say that they won't do a visual inspection and see that you don't have any cats and not pass you... I believe we can have 2 not ready's and still pass... someone correct me if I'm wrong.

technically no you will not pass due to the cat, they are a requirement. If you just hook it up to the computer it will pas but will fail the safety portion of the inspection(visual).
westtexasbuff- you are only allowed to have one "not ready" monitor to pass the inspection.

Depends where you take it, MOST places wont even look to make sure you have cats and will just do a computer scan.
I recently passed mine and I have ORY so no cats as well. When my exhaust was installed they tuned out the code for the SES to come on for bad or no cats.

By the book this car would fail for the items you mentioned. Vehicles 2001 and older have to have one "not ready" 96-2000 are allowed to have two "not readys". Majority of the time when these items are tuned out they are set to not ready(my cats for example). All vehicles 1984 and older are required to have a catalytic converter this is not part of the emmisions test but the visual saftey inspection under the catagory of exhaust system. It will also fail for the lack of the EGR system (if the inspector even notices) because it is one of the 5 emmision systems check during the visual saftey inspection. So say the inspector doesnt notice the EGR system, cats, and you only have 2 not readys and everything else (Tint, tread depth, horn, wipers etc..) meets state requirments then yes you will pass.

Funny cause most kids dont even know what an EGR is.I promise if you take it to a busy place with kids working they will be more interested in the sound coming from the cam than a visual inspection
