The most you would pay to go to a TX2K night meet?
Given the other events cost money to get in to per person, if the night meet had a price for admission per person, what is the most you would be willing to pay? This would be similar to getting in to the track to watch racing, it doesn't go by vehicle, but per person in the vehicle. It would also potentially be at a venue where access in and out would be controlled.

While I agree with you on the money part I still think these idiots will still find a way of figuring out where the event is being held. It is kind of hard not to notice the vast number of exotic cars all of a sudden coming out.

I'd happily pay an entry fee to have security on hand on private property.
The cheap-asses who would not pay for that, deserve it when their nice cars get run into by high school kids doing stupid **** in the parking lot.

Have an admission with all the proceeds going to sponsors or some sort of charity type deal....they could make a ton off that and would help keep some idiots away or stop people from bringing the whole family.

How are you going to control all of that parkinglot space that is public? People still have to get to fiesta... You will never be able to "control" this meet. Even if you mark off your area, they will just start posting up right outside of it.

I think an entry fee would definitely keep most of the idiots out, but it would need to be in the $50 range. Anyone who can afford to build the kind of vehicles that you are looking for can afford to pay that to keep their cars safe and have a good time. The rest of the people should be able to walk in, but not drive in. IMO.

Private invite only would be best. Having security on site checking every car as they entered to make sure they were invited. I think this last weekend is a perfect example of why street meets change locations so often. You get a few idiots who have never been near anything fast or worth more then 20k and get all hot and bothered and try to "fit in" and do burnouts and ****. Id bet some good money that this will be the last 2kxx for quite some time. It's a shame cause I've been to the last three and had a hell of time.

I agree the whole thing should be held at Hennessy IMO. You wouldn't need to charge $40 bucks if it was all the way out there, the idiots won't travel that far. There wasn't any problems at the dyno day or during the races.

Having literally grown up in and around the DuQuoin Illinois Street Machine Nationals, I will say I am not at all surprised at the retardation. Illinois quickly learned that a HUGE police presence was the only way to keep things sane. They didn't say anything about modded cars, but asshattery was treated like Mardi Gras in NoLo.

It could still be in Houston, but some thing like the race track on 249 would work, you really can't hang around out side since it's feeder road, money would have to go towards paying for it. I have been going to the TX2K stuff for the last 10 years, it was always convenient since when they did the dyno days at MTI it was so close, hell we would have to drive to SAR to go to the track day.
