who do you guys bank with?
I've been with Bank of America 10 years or more and now having problems. Last month wife and I went on a little trip to get out of Dallas for a few days. While out of town I checked my account and it was missing over 300.00 dollars. Called Bank of America and few days later all my money was there. Now this morning I get on and theres ******* a 900.00 deposit I made Saturday missing. I called and the last deposit it shows I made was on the 14th of this month. So I have two bank accounts one with Bank of America and one with Chase. Chase is just a account I open to stack money in. Bank of America is my everyday living money account. So I'm looking to change Bank of America. So who do you guys bank with and why?

I bank with a local credit union. reasons being..... my money is local (right down the street) owned by a family or a private person meaning not the whole world is looking at your bank numbers. i like the security and knowing my money is right in the city where i live. also with loans and stuff like that they have good intrest rates. just a suggestion i would look for a credit union in your spot.

Been with Bank of America (17 years) since they were Nations Bank, and after getting screwed when trying to get a home loan through them I started looking elsewhere. Then the whole Merrill Lynch merger and the idea of them handling my 401K I left the bank.

I have an account at Texans CU where I use to work, the only bad is that I can never make it to a branch during the weeday b/c there isn't a branch on every other block. So if I need anything done, I only have a 5 hour window on Sat morning which is a pain. That being said which is the only real reason I still use BOA as my everyday account.
Oh and credit union doesn't charge you fees !!!!!

Checking, savings, and credit with Chase. Never considered switching and there phone app is awesome for depositing checks. Paying my credit card and transferring funds. Not sure how many others have that, never really looked.
And keeping receipts and records is easy, since I can just snap a pic of the homescreen with the confirmation up and store the pics.

Never actually banked at BoA, but they bought my home loan while my house was on the market to sell. They wanted the contents ins coverage the same as the structure coverage. The house is empty, WHY? I fought with them for 5 months about the stupid b.s. they were putting me through. Thank god I sold it.

Just because a Credit Union is not everywhere.. Doesn’t mean you can’t go to another Credit Union and pull out your money… Lots of Credit Union use a COOP… Meaning they all have your info and you can pull your money from a list of Credit Unions wherever you may be.
The link I gave you above does just that..

I have an account with a local bank back home and they are amazing and super friendly. I called from Iraq and wrote a check for 17 grand over the phone with no issues. I am currently in Afghanistan, and every time I call they recognize my voice and ask me how I am.
I also have an account with US Bank. They are a pretty average big bank. I will be switching to them for my everyday living and using the hometown bank for savings when I get home due to location. But I definitely prefer smaller banks and credit unions because they are much easier to work with.
